Hi, I’m Lydia Suitt.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tucson, AZ.

I believe that individuals and couples have an innate capacity to heal — not just to manage symptoms, but to deepen self-understanding, feel more grounded and empowered, and move through life with curiosity, courage, and self-compassion.

I specialize in trauma therapy and couples counseling in Tucson and virtually throughout Arizona. I offer support for clients who want to heal past experiences, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, sustainable change. For those wanting to make concentrated progress, I also provide EMDR intensives designed to help you accomplish a significant amount of healing in a shorter timeframe.

One of my favorite therapy quotes comes from Carl Rogers: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” With wholehearted belief in this principle, we’ll work together to help you see yourself clearly and heal in ways that feel authentic, empowering, and sustainable. My hope is that even the parts of your life that feel dark, overwhelming, or shameful can become places that feel safe to explore, understand, and transform.

As a therapist, I show up authentically — compassionate, transparent, non-judgmental, and direct. I genuinely enjoy what I do.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy good books, scenic walks and hikes, my daily morning coffee routine, catching up with friends, and snuggling with my cat.

If you’re interested in working together, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
